A National Conversation on Child Homelessness and Poverty
Partnership Staff Discuss Model for Family Homelessness Prevention
On Friday morning, Partnership Senior Vice President Scott Cotenoff and Family Resource Director Carla Brown-Ndiaye participated in a panel discussion on "Services for Families: Before, During and After Homelessness." The panel was part of a conference called Beyond Housing: A National Conversation on Child Homelessness and Poverty, sponsored by the Institute for Children, Poverty & Homelessness. The purpose of the conference was to "connect people to ideas and ideas to practice." Sessions provided opportunities for service providers, policy makers, and researcher to interact and explore new and dynamic ways to reduce the impact of poverty and homelessness on children and families. During Friday morning's panel, Partnership senior staff had the chance to discuss our model for family homelessness prevention with the more than 100 participants at the session.
