The Partnership for the Homeless

Children’s Holiday Party

A stream of nearly 500 children recently flocked to the Brooklyn Children's Museum for a night of holiday fun.

Every year we organize a festive holiday celebration for families who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness, providing a much-needed respite from the daily challenges of poverty in some of our city’s most disadvantaged neighborhoods.

Thanks to our partnership with The Brooklyn Children’s Musuem, this year's event gave the children and their families private access to the museum, where they got to enjoy live nature exhibits, explore different cultures in the World Brooklyn exhibit, have a delicious meal, experience Agostino Arts' delightful combination of storytelling and facepainting, and even get a photo with Santa himself.

Each family also received a bag of wrapped presents (donated through Partnership toy drives at multiple local businesses and places of worship) to make their holiday that much brighter.

Go to our Facebook page to see more photos of the party, which were taken courtesy of Shannon Roddy, Jimmy Collins and Erica Shires Photography.

This year's party was by far our biggest yet and it would not have been possible without our many sponsors and contributors.
