ITEMS WE WILL PICK-UP
If you have the minimum requirement of one sofa or one dresser, we will also pick-up additional items you may have for donation. We are always in need of the following and will give priority to these items:

  • End Tables
  • Coffee Tables
  • TV Stands
  • Lamps
  • Kitchen Tables w/ Matching Chairs
  • Pots and Pans
  • Drinking Glasses
  • Silverware
  • Microwaves
  • Cribs
  • Playpens
  • Strollers

ITEMS WE WILL NOT PICK-UP
Please understand that we are not able to accept everything you might have to donate. Because trucking expenses and storage fees are very high, we must be selective and accept only those items that our families need most. There are specific reasons why we do not take the following items, and we ask that you please respect them.

  • Mattress and box-springs (including futons and futons frames)
  • Large Appliances
  • Used Clothing
  • Office Furniture
  • Filing Cabinets
  • Extra Large Furniture
  • Books
  • CDs or Records
  • Food
  • Stuffed Animals
  • Outdated Computers

CONDITION IS IMPORTANT
It is vital that your donation items are in very good condition. We do NOT accept any items that have missing pieces, are broken, torn, stained, unstable, generally run-down, or dirty. We do not have the staff or the capabilities to repair furniture or have items professionally cleaned. We are looking for items that can literally be taken off of a truck and given to a family that day. Furthermore, trucking costs are far too high to pick-up items that will only have to be discarded once it arrives in our warehouse.

We want our clients to feel proud of the furniture they get from Furnish a Future, and so we ask that you please be mindful of the condition of your donation items before scheduling a pick-up with us.
